You should deefnitily read Animorphs, by K.A. Applegate. They were intended for preteen/young teen audiences, and it's fun to look at books that are targeted like that. Plus, HOW can you NOT want to read them, hearing the back cover blurb on every book: We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us well, we just won't let them find us.. The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you. The issue is it's a LONG series (measuring number of books). VERY long. 54 of them in total (I don't know if that counts a number of companion books that aren't necessary.) I never even got through the whole thing. But each individual book is VERY short, and in obnoxiously large text to boot. In total words or pages, I'm pretty sure it's still much less long than the Harry Potter series, though Maybe each book could be like a chapter, lulz.The premise of the series involves a whole lot of space aliens. The series itself is chock full of Good Writing, Bad Writing (the first book is noticably worse than many others), Cool Freakin' Ideas, Rigidly Defined Scifi Continuity except for a few flubs they forgot to edit out and Nightmare Fuel. Lots and lots of Nightmare Fuel. I don't know why parents were objecting to the Goosebumps series for being scary while my classmates and I had Animorphs on our shelves.
