Yeah..I don't know what it is but Ragan doesn't really seem to be Penske material..He'll fit in better at RPM.

Just imagine your level of shock if someone had told you at Thanksgiving this was going to happen before Christmas.

unrelated related story...

I was at a Chick-fil-a yesterday in GA,and there was a guy that looked spot on like A.J but by the time i figured out my game plan on how to ask the guy if he was Allmendinger the restaurant filled up with people and the guy,and the person he was with, left the restaurant relatively quickly, walking through the crowd with his head down.

Ironically, the restaurant was next door to a shell gas station..

That makes you goes Hmmmmmm. Sounds like Dinger was at Chick-fil-a. I have still yet to see Almirola. I been wishing to see him at my job sooner or later.

Reminds me of a time last year when Kenny Wallace said he had people congratulating him on his deal with RAB while he was in line at Chick-fil-a. Not the fan friendliest move on AJ's part, but who am I to judge?

Speaking of seeing people in our area, Morgan Shepherd and apparently Richard Petty are regulars at my local Steak 'n' Shake in Burlington, NC. Kind of surprising, considering that it's pretty far off from the hub.

I'd always thought it would be a good idea for closed-Sundays Chick-Fil-A to share sponsorship of a car with we-rest-Saturdays Little Debbie.

I would like to point out that it very well may not have been AJ,but the behavior of never looking up,except straight ahead to the person he was with, and trying to hide his face casually from the restaurant seemed like it. Furthermore, the hair, ears, nose, height, build all matched AJ pretty much spot on. I thought it was cool, but maybe I should have just said "screw it" and approached the minute i spotted him instead of trying to wait for an appropriate time/respectful time. Oh well.

I could see Chick-fil-a as a Nationwide Series sponsor. They've got the money for it, anyway. I'm surprised and disappointed they've never gone into NASCAR when they spend so much on College Football.

Okay guys, I had a bit of a discussion about Kurt Busch getting fired from Penske Racing and someone, I don't remember who, the forum member said that James Finch is an old school owner and how he'll keep Kurt Busch in line? Well, here's a quote from James Finch on the latest incident with his driver: UPDATE 2: [#51 car owner James] Finch told ESPN.com he would meet with Busch over the next couple of days to discuss whether they would keep the handshake agreement they made before the season. He didn't sound like a man convinced the arrangement could or would work. "If he's going to kill himself, I'm not going to be in the airplane with him," Finch said by phone. "If that's what he's planning on doing, I am going to get out." Sounds to me if Busch keeps up his act, he may not be in #51 car for too long

Not anymore he isn't!  I'd like to see Brendan Gaughan at Penske.  He never got a chance with a good team like Penske.

Looks like it's good bye AJ Allmendinger, been released from Penske Racing, not even a full season! I love how he said he'll be working with his nutritionist or whatever the hell he is, to find out what suppliment or medicine caused him to test positive. To that I say, AJ, get real! Put him in the same books as Sammy Potashnik, Jeremy Mayfield, Jaime Skinner

Despite what all was said, I think there are as-yet undiscovered tribes in the Amazon Rainforest who could have told us AJ was going to get released.  As I said during Mayfield's incident, and it's even more true today, the garage area is just too small to hide a "Big secret" like a drug problem.

I realize they use whatever options are available to them, but who out there really thought the "B" sample was going to differ from the "A" sample?

I still say when all is said and done and if the Road to Recovery is completed, we don't ever get a genuine admission of "I had a problem and overcame it."  Maybe only because it's one of their 12 steps or something.

I hope AJ really turn his life around. He got talent and he's still relatively young.
