8 from South Point, 2 from Menards. He'll also run 8 Truck races in the #2, splitting the ride with Tim George Jr, who will run 12 races with sponsorship from the Potomac Family Dining Group, presumably with Applebee's as their featured franchisee. Kevin Harvick will probably run the 2 remaining races.

Just say on the Yella site Ty Norris denying that Pastrana-Waltrip is shutting down. Didn't realize that was a rumor until today.
I wonder if the world of NASCAR is going to become like teaching where you can virtually count on a couple months without a paycheck; but I still can't fathom how a team that lays off most of its staff during the off-sesson has a chance to complete with teams that not only are keeping their staffs but testing.

I'm baffled. I thought that Pastrana was set for 2012, but it sounds like Boost Mobile must've cut funding.
Anyway, a lot of movement amongst crew chiefs this week:
- Todd Gordon has been promoted to the Cup Series, where he'll serve as crew chief for the #22 team, driver TBD.
- Mike Beam will move from Roush-Fenway Racing to Kyle Busch Motorsports, where he'll be the crew chief. Beam mentioned that they haven't settled on a driver yet, but need to start ordering seats soon.
- Jason Ratcliff has been promoted to the Cup Series, and will serve as crew chief for Joey Logano's #20. About time, too.

Here's the PR I managed to dig up from Jayski Nationwide page, the announcement was back in January of this year,
Boost Mobile to sponsor Pastrana: Boost Mobile, an industry leader in no-contract wireless service, and Samsung Mobile, the #1 mobile phone provider in the U.S.1, will sponsor Travis Pastrana when the action sports icon embarks on his NASCAR Nationwide Series career in 2011. Pastrana will drive the #99 Boost Mobile Toyota for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing in seven Nationwide Series races this season, including a mid-summer debut in Indianapolis designed to bridge NASCAR with the ESPN X Games. Pastrana plans to compete in at least 20 races in 2012.
Sounds like Rowdy is right, if they only sold 7 races and the team is talking to other companies to expand Pastana's schedule, maybe Boost Mobile did cut back on their commitement.

I'm guessing that since Travis got injured last year they pushed the seven races to this year and the 20 to 2013 but thats pure speculation.

If Mike Bliss returns to Tri-Star next year, it won't be in the #19.
And the #19 won't be a Chevy either.
And Kenny Wallace needs to look for more sponsorship.
EDIT: Since the accompanying picture is no longer viewable... Tayler Malsam will drive the #19 G-Oil Toyota for Tri-Star next year.

Interesting to see if TriStar will run on Toyotas for next year.

ESPN said at Phoenix that Bliss would be back, so either that's changed or Bliss will be in the #44 instead. Also, shouldn't be a huge deal for Wallace, considering that's only 4 more races Wallace needs to cover.
Good to see Malsam back. Been a fan of his ever since his Truck days.

Not a fan of Malsam. I don't think he's proven anything worth "average" but maybe this will be the opportunity he needs to change that.
I probably drove by the test at Walt Disney World Speedway. I did see a boost mobile hauler there, and an unmarked red one...

Penske confirmed today that Brad Keselowski and Parker Kligerman will split the #22. Jeremy Bullins will be the crew chief.

With Almirola apparently gone to Cup in 2012, who takes over the #88. Only two people I can think of are Jason Leffler and MAYBE Jeremy Clements.

The #88 would be wasted on Leffler tbh.

Paging Landon Cassill to the 88, unless we end up with the dreaded "mix of Cup stars".
No matter how they try to spin it, I still say JR Motorsports is a puppet with Hendrick's hand up its butt.
