David Ragan has been confirmed at Front Row for 2012. http://www.nascar.com/news/120116/dragan-signs-front-row-no-34-2012/index.html

And saw on the yellow site that JRR is going Cup racing. In my opinion, I don't see this team lasting very long in Cup.

Yeah, only 5-10 laps at best once the green is waved.  Grin

Tommy Baldwin Racing is apparently in serious talks with DR Power & Equipment about sponsoring David Reutimann.

There will be a really cool story behind this if they do sign.

There has been a big push by fans on DR Power's Facebook page trying to get them to sponsor TBR.  Evidently the company took it all to heart and is at least in talks to do some sponsorship with Tommy and David.  Hope so. Tommy does quite well with limited monies so I would like to see him get a little more to work with.

The McDizzle is back with HP Racing (minus the Humphrey). Switching to Fords (apparently, they're the new Toyota as far all the lower-budget teams running them), and they're not S&P'ing... for the first 5 races.

Wonder if Roush thinned the herd a bit, or upgraded.  Still, you know there have to be a decent bunch of former Red Bull Toyotas out there that can't possibly suck as bad as prior bunches of Red Bull Toyotas.

Maybe old TRG pieces were cheaper and more recent. Or Roush-Yates' cheap consumer pieces had more in them than the PME engines the #66 had been running.

Good for McDowell, and good for Parsons' team too, even if they change their name like they change their socks.

Go Green Racing is attempting a few Cup races this season. Also, Turn One Racing is returning to Cup Series. Last venture for Turn One was when they was known as Wyler Racing and did the 2nd COT race with Benson in the #46.

The renamed Phil Parsons Racing that McDowell will be driving for this year is actually a merger between HP Racing and Whitney Motorsports - hence the switch to Ford. No word if they'll be using #46, 66, or something different entirely, but I'd imagine they'll be running out of the new shop Whitney just moved into and using a lot of their existing Ford equipment.

Wouldn't be surprised if their sponsor for the first 5 races is Red Line Oil, they've been on Whitney's cars on and off for the past couple years, and they also sponsored McDowell in the past when he drove for Randy MacDonald's Nationwide team.

Max Q Motorsports is now considering 3-4 drivers for the #37, among them Josh Wise.

Hopefully he gets the ride and not somebody old and busted.
