Supposedly Busch turned down the 43. And with the yellow site and Fox both saying Allmendinger to the 22, Ragan looks like the lead candidate for the 43.

Interesting Kurt turned it down..that was pretty much the best available ride.

Well that was fast.

Kind of disappointing that Ragan didn't get the #22, but good for Allmendinger, and the #43 isn't a bad option either. I've heard that Ford wanted to keep Ragan.

Congrats to AJ Allmendinger, I hope he has the success in #22 car. I'm also curious about TRG, who gets that ride? They also switched to Fords as well.

Last I heard, TRG was making a push to hire Busch.

Big article about Geoff Bodine and his sponsor wanting to step things up but I just can't see any major operation out there with a would-be dormant ride (#6, #33) taking the chance.  Would not shock me to see him in the 71.

I think the biggest unanswered question if Kurt to the 51 is a done deal: what's up with the 4 and 83's points?  Do they vanish and the guys in 36th and 37th place get a humongous Xmas gift, or are they going to the highest bidder?

I can speculate with a relative degree of certainty that if Bowyer gets a Red Bull crew, he'll get Red Bull points as well. I can see Roush buying points for the #21 again (Probably the #6's), but even with that, TRG and Robby Gordon would end up having locked-in spots unless other owners look to buy the #33 and #83's points.

As far as Busch and Phoenix go, I think it's a great fit. Finch is an old-school owner who's going to keep Busch on an extremely tight leash, and Busch knows that if he runs afoul of him, he'll be driving a tour bus. It's probably exactly what he needs.

I say Geoff is going to end up with FRM.. They're desperate enough for the money. He took a shot at TBR in his interview saying it was the equipment and not him..yea they don't really have winning cars but they're definitely better than where he ran.

That's what I thought too. Bodine mentioned that he's talking to a team that's ''not a top-tier one, but is multi-car''.

I still say that he's over the hill. Frankly, I was surprised that he only managed to be a lap or two down at Homestead.

Busch and Finch will be a great couple until Speedweeks start. Seriously, this is going to be a disaster for those two.

Jim Utter is saying that Busch isn't going to run for the Cup title, and instead will run for a Nationwide Championship with KBM.

Then again, this is after Utter spent the entire day bashing Phoenix Racing, so take it for what it's worth.

John Wes Bodine is freaking delusional.  He wrecked and DNQed while Blaney (and Stephen Leicht) had decent runs in that equipment.  If TBR is crap in his opinion, I'm kind of curious to see what he considers "non-top-tier but competitive"  Roll Eyes

Remember that Bodine is 62. Probably going senile. That or his Daytona wreck knocked a screw in his head loose.

Hey Rowdy, let me respond this way: What do you consider Roger Penske? He's been part of nascar I think since when 1970's? Roger Penske, I would say he's as old school as he gets, I don't think we can do better, Jack Roush, another old school owner, but yet they had enough of Kurt Busch.
