I just found out about his house getting basically annihilated by the storms last night... man... I'm... just at a loss for words right now. It's bad enough when it affects family but when it affects one of the best friends I have ever had? Man... I just can't even comprehend what he's going through right now. Thankfully, he and his family are okay but still.... man, if he didn't have God... I don't know how he'd get through all this... just... glad he's okay.

I read on another message board that it was an earthquake that destroyed his house.

That's terrible, Brody. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family and to all those who have suffered losses in this tornado season!

McClure himself said it best when he said houses can be replaced, but family can't. I'm really glad that he and his family are doing fine. God loves him, and I'm sure that there are a bunch of people in the garage area who'll go out of their way to help him and his family get along.

Still, with everything that's happened in Japan and Alabama along with other parts of the South, and in such a short period of time as well, it all just seems so unfair.

This was not a good situation at all in the south, I was chasing the events, I was a few miles behind the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham tornadoes, witnessed some of the most powerful tornadoes I have seen in 9 years of storm chasing... was wondering if anyone on this forum or any of the teams in these areas were affected... Glad to know Eric is ok, glad he was not in the list of casualties...

Haven't seen McClures house as yet but understand that it is a mess.  Tornado seems to have picked the roof up and set it back down on the house but not where it actually belongs.  Can you imagine having to huddle in the basement of your house for 4 hours with 3 small children while it sounds like a train is driving through your house.  I've never seen anything like the weather Wednesday night; one wave after another. You would get through one wave and think you were safe and the next wave would hit.   We had to drive through an area near McClure where another tornado touched down just to get out of town yesterday morning and it was unbelievable, it looked like someone had dropped a bomb on the area and  Virginia was not hit anywhere near as badly as Alabama.  Scary, scary stuff.

ConwayFan was actually the first person I thought of when I heard about this, figured you would be out there chasing. Glad you, turbo, & everyone else is OK.

I heard Cody's stove didn't survive.

And he is on suicide watch because of it and because Danny O'Quinn doesn't have a full-time ride.

I fully intended to say "It was crazy, I've never seen anything like it" had I been interviewed
