Dirt Track Racing Thread...

Don't know how much interest this thread will get but I figured I would start a dirt track racing thread and see how much interest it gets. I went to Cleveland Speedway last night just outside of Chattanooga and basically saw Shane Clanton (YES, he's Joey's brother and 10 times better than Joey) win a choo-choo race... no passing whatsoever. I'll probably be back at Cleveland in June for the Lucas Oil Late Model race, Tazewell for the WoO Late Model race there, and going to Eldora for the World 100 in September with a few of my racing friends.

Shane is very good, Joey was very good too though, talented family, good thread idea.

Next time you're in Cleveland, let me know.

I'll be back for the Lucas Oil race in June... probably better racing, as a whole, than what I saw Saturday night because Cleveland normally ain't a choo-choo racing track (plus the Lucas Oil guys usually put on a better show than the Southern All-Star Series guys...)

Honestly, the racing at Boyd's a little south is much better than Cleveland.

I was going to go to Boyd's Friday night, but the track was flooded (which is really nothing new there).
For anybody that's going to Bristol, after the Nationwide race Saturday, there's a 100 lap Super Late Model race at Volunteer Speedway off of Exit 23 on I-81 in Tennessee. Not sure if I'm going to go. It kind of depends on who will be running there that night. Pretty good chance Bloomquist will be there as he lives like 10 minutes from Volunteer Speedway. Maybe even a few others.

I never knew Bryan Clauson was racing on dirt. I saw the Speed Center highlights of him racing.

I HATE to refer to anything Twitter related, but Austin Dillon mentioned something in his Twitter about heading to Bulls Gap... no idea if he's racing or if he's just watching.

For all of you that went to Bristol, from what I was told, Volunteer Speedway had a better show... Chris Madden and Jimmy Owens put on a pretty decent show, but Madden won in the end. I may try to go to one of my local dirt tracks in about a week or two...

Well, I've bumped up my Eldora trip to June because I won't be able to go in September... probably NOT going to the Prelude as I have no real desire to see Cup guys drive like crap on dirt.
