just watched DirecTV Hotpass
with 4 to go
Hamlin's Spotter: "Keep an eye out the 99 is messing with the 12"
Hamlin: "Why did they get together."
Spotter: "Yeah thats what took Joey out."
Spotter: "He spun um, okay okay hes upside down slow down slow down."
Ford: "That did not look good their."
Hamlin: "Wow. You know as uncalled for as that is, I sure don't know what its going to take that kid to learn."
Ford: "That one earlier the 99 kinda came down on the 12, but the 12 should of givin him some room, but that could of gone either way. I can't really say if it was the 12's issue. He should of cut him some slack."
Hamlin: "I would say the 99 thought he should of cut him some slack what do you think."
Ford: "yeah 10-4, I think thiers a history between them two."
Hamlin: "Can you give me a tear off please Mike."
Ford: "Ok sure thing."
Hamlin: "No I mean you come on down out from the stands."
Spotter: "I don't have a suit or a helmet. I could throw a water bottle at you though." hahaha
(When Edwards drove down pits wrong way)
Hamlin: "He needs to go do some doughnuts down thieir before he packs it up." hahah

On NASCAR Victory Lane,
They showed Kurt the video he said "wow" and that that was wrong very wrong. Roger Penske(See Dirt I spelled it right lol
) said how he didnt think Carl did that for the inclident earlier he thinks Carl did that because of what happened at Daytona. Roger wants to meet with Brad, Jack Roush & Carl Edwards to talk it over as they have the rest of the Cup & N'Wide season where their both going for the championship.
and what's with Kenny Wallace at end of show reading off tweets from NASCAR ppl. hahahah
Could'nt this video work for today's race except for them saying "Newman" I just love this clip DW: "nooo nooo no noo no"
http://www.youtube.com/v/KlL4_iEfSf0&rel=1
Michael Waltrip on NASCAR Smarts
"I'm 2nd in all time starts. 1st is Richard Petty he won 200 races thats 1 in every 4 races, I ran over 1000 and won 4 races so thats 1 every 250, which one was harder to accomplish?"
hahahahah

Its really sad we have fans and drivers that are happy with what Carl did. Just pathetic.
NASCAR's reaction to this will speak volumes. If they lower the boom on Carl it looks to me like a message to Brad that it's "business as usual." If they do nothing it makes retaliation fair game.
My preference would be a fine, points and double-secret probation for Carl; but then they bring Special K in the trailer (or maybe send him a note using FedEx, heh heh) and tell him that for the rest of the season, even if it is an accident, he gets 5 laps for rough driving. Maybe then he'll start learning how to make a clean pass? Doesn't help him that NASCAR probably hates that the 12 is "sponsored" by Verizon.
The wild card here: we have what transpired over the 11's scanner, by chance has anyone heard the 99's?

I think an appropriate punishment would be a 1 race suspension for Carl and the #99. This would make them have to qualify on time for the rest of the season.

in my opinion both should atleast be suspended Brad is just a Human Wrecking Machine every race and Carl's move just lost all my respect to him
i hope though that a penalty happens for both of them but it might be just the 99

Saw on Jayski that Keyed Up completely pulled away from Key Motorsports and is gonna have to severely cut back their schedule if they don't start making races and bring in a sponsor.
I get the drift from the article that Mr. Curtis knows where Keyed Up is headed and doesn't want them to pull the whole ship down with them.

How much longer until we see Terry Cook and the #46 disappear as well? I'd like to see Keyed Up put like David Stremme in the car just to see what happens. I'm not saying Stremme is better than Mears (that's like saying Max Papis is better than Kevin Conway), but something different is needed.

accually....no, the top 35 is based on team attempts, not driver attempts, and even if carl was benched the 99 team would still show with someone else in the car. i.e. the 29 car in Nationwide was locked in every race using 3 different drivers, Bowyer, Burton and Leicht.

That's why I say they should suspend the #99. The team won't be able to attempt.

Even if the #99 sat out a race, they wouldn't fall out of the top 35. I hope you aren't one of those that thinks you must attempt every race to be locked in in the Cup series.

Isn't that the rule? Even if you're first in owner's points, if you don't attempt every race, you don't get locked in?
Maybe it's just a Nationwide/Truck rule.

Does NOT apply to Cup.
From Jayski:
Quote
NOTE on #4/#09 Owners Points: have confirmed thru the team and NASCAR that the #109 team of James Finch/Phoenix Racing and the #4 team of Larry McClure/Morgan McClure Motorsports have 'switched' car numbers with Finch now listed as the #4 owner, combing the #109's Daytona points [160] with the #4 points at Las Vegas [34] for a total of 194 and moving up to 38th on the Owners Points list. The switch was made AFTER California, so the #09 team had one attempt. Been told NASCAR has approved this move. Why would the #4 team do this? Race attempts do not matter if a team is in the top 35 of the owners points, so if the #4 can get in the next two races and get in the top-35 they will be guaranteed a starting spot if the team can stay in the top 35.
My 'understanding' of the rules, is that since the #4 is now listed with only 2 race attempts, the team would not get in the race in the case qualifying is cancelled [rain etc] as there are many teams already with three who would get in first. That is how the rule is written, and confirmed with NASCAR.(3-14-2007)
