I was wondering if any of you know if Kyle Busch found new sponsorship for his KBM #18 Tundra since Miccosukee pulled out.

I'm new to this site, but so far I like it a lot. Smiley

Welcome rw18!

I was wondering the same thing, actually.  I'm sure the races Kyle is going to run will get some funding (i.e. Samsung, NOS, etc), but I'm not sure if they'll run it full-time.

I also seem to recall that the 56 wasn't fully funded, either, and that ActivWater was only part-time.  I might be wrong on that.

Nascar.com article...Close on something for Daytona

"We're very, very close," Busch said. "We haven't announced yet because we're trying to get it where it's good for us and good for our partner that we've got. As soon as we figure that out it'll be announced.

Did he mean they're racing Daytona, racing his races, or racing the full season with both trucks?  Just curious.

Interviewer on SPEED asked if what if Miccosukee leaves, he said were still be racing with or without them.

Looks like KBM screwing Ballew out of his longtime sponsor actually ends up helping ballew in the end

I say that it wouldn't be impossible to say that Kyle will have NOS on the truck for a few races, and I wouldn't be shocked to see them try to get Interstate Batteries to do a few races, since Exide is in the series too. With Kyle's name on the deal I'm sure the only potential unsponsored races might lie with Malsam on the #56 (don't forget One Eighty did go with him to KBM, so they might do a few races on the #56 truck), and with Ickler in the #18 (could be a sponsor like Samsung or something along those lines).

ActivWater, One Eighty, and NOS all on one team?  Yeah...no.  I have my doubts.

I didn't know One Eighty was a beverage company, or that they were joining KBM at all for that matter.

OneEighty isn't a beverage company. They're...Some sort of business. I forget.

They're not a beverage company.  I don't know what made me think that.  Something did.  My bad.

Still, I don't see NOS and ActivWater on teammates' trucks, so rule out NOS.

Well that depends.  NOS is an energy drink but is distributed by Coca-Cola. actiVwater appears to be a competitor to Gatorade and the like, and the company specializes in spring water. I guess it boils down to how fussy the sponsors are. They may not even care.

Not sure how Kyle screwed Ballew by taking Miccosukee since they weren't on his trucks before Kyle started driving them.

It might have to do with the fact that there actually is a drink out there called 180.
