Besides Red Bull, Monster and kinda sorta maybe Sobe, has any fully backed team with an energy drink sponsor done anything in nascar?? especially those of drinks 99.9999992% of people have not heard of. No.

NOS & AMP

NOS is iffy because it's marketed by Coca-Cola, and Amp is owned by Pepsi.

I think this is semi-legit. When you move your entire business operation into the same building, that says something.

BTW, the team is running Chevy and using the #84.

Now, on Daisy Ramirez Motorsports site, the car number will be #01. Also, Kerry Earnhardt will be the driver for the first 2 races & Dillon Oliver will race the reminder of the season for ROTY.

Maybe Stott is getting some $$ to build trucks for them? I still don't know about this team, however, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Stott is a nice guy, and I hope he can get some money out of this to support his NW endeavors.

I am a bit skeptical about this...I was in the garage when they were on the Stott truck at Talladega last fall.  First, the truck was an intermediate truck and was very slow and did not have a strong engine in it which eventually failed on Steve Park.  They can't have brought much $$$ to the table for that.  Also, they had like 2 cases of the drink in Stotts hauler and they did not give any of it out to anyone, the 2 cases sat wrapped up the entire weekend.  Most teams that have drink sponsors just put out a cooler for anyone in the garage area to take some.

Like said above, Amp owned by Pepsi and Nos by coke, but i'll take it. So we have Amp, Nos, Red Bull, Maybe Monster and kinda sorta Sobe.

Brian Weber is the CEO of this energy drink company. Is this the same Brian Weber that was a NASCAR driver in the early to mid 2000's? I'm thinking so, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows let me know, and if you don't want the world to know you can PM me too.

NOS wasn't bought out by Coca-Cola until late 2008, same time they left SB's team for Kryle Busch. Before that it was "Performance Energy Drink" out of I believe Ohio.

I met someone in Daytona in 2008 that had a NOS shirt and hat and he told me he worked for Coca-Cola so it may have been even earlier.

Yes. That is the same Brian Weber who did sporadic appearances in Nationwide in the early 2000s.

Coke did not own NOS but did distribute it before 2008.

Has the unraveling begun?:

UPDATE 2: Ramirez Motorsports has been informed that Kerry Earnhardt has decided to withdraw from driving the KOMA Unwind Chevy at Daytona due to conflicts in some previously scheduled events that were unable to be rescheduled. DRM is now looking at all alternative driver options for eligible drivers to run Daytona & Atlanta. Meanwhile Crew Chief Dan Glauz continues to put finishing touches on the teams Chevys.(Ramirez Motorsports PR)(2-4-2010)

Unless he's running Cup or Nationwide, I have to wonder what Kerry has going on that can't be put aside or postponed.
