Seeing as it's the offseason and we should be getting a clearer picture of what we'll see in Daytona after Christmas and New Year's, here's a small list of announcements for drivers/teams/sponsors that are to come.

Feel free to add to the list if you know anything or find anything.

Extenze Racing - After Christmas
Michael McDowell - Before January 1st
Rick Ware Racing - January 1st or 2nd

They said something along the lines of ''Immediately following the Holiday season''.

Now that I think about it, they probably mean after New Year's.

I don't see anything like that on the site. It still says the 2nd.

Not like Tuesday is that far off, though. Has anything changed that you know of?

The title of the article has been changed to saying that it will be on the 5th even though the actual article says the 2nd.

The line-up was pretty well determined as of December 31st so maybe something changed.  Wink

If I had to guess, I'm guessing that they won't be running anyone full-time in the #31. Which would be a shame if that were so, but oh well.

We will let everyone know soon enough.  I will state this. Unless a sponsor gets signed (full season for NNS) it would be difficult to run the COT races so a full schedule is unlikely

''But the COT is so good for the series! There's no way it'll cause huge disparity and mass shutdowns!''

I believe it is good for the series but the intro in is difficult for only 4 races.  We would spend more on the one car for those four races than probably 10-15 regular races.

If i'm not mistaken, didn't Stanton bring a COT from 2008 to RWR? I know he had one from Daytona which was destroyed and one from Dover which belonged to Chris but I thought there was one more Bill Davis chassis that he owned. Couldn't that COT be converted to a Nationwide COT? Just curious as to how that works.
