And here I thought that Brian realized that he was better off as a crew chief.

Keselowski only gave up his seat in the #26 to McDowell because McDowell needed a ride and it made the most sense in terms of his team.

Provided, Brian knows how to race, and there are some people who say that he may be even better than his brother.

I am one of those people. I think Brian had way too many things on his plate last year ... need to get his head clear, focus on just driving, you'll see a whole different result ...

I agree also. He's had some good runs in his car. They're doing it the hard way, family run, no sponsors, no manufacturer support. I think if Brian could get a little support be it sponsor or parts, he'll be fast.

I was thinking that it would be pretty cool if Brad could manage to get his family an alliance with Penske. They probably can't afford it, though.

I was thinking something similar to that today: if only Elliott Sadler hooked up Hermie with Yates engines all those years back. Sadly these teams do have a limit as to their resources; Penske's got competitive Cup car, one competitive Nationwide car, a so-so Cup car (77), and the 12 is unknown at this point. Maybe Brian gets a development deal sometime down the road?

Some more news on K-Automotive:

The move to North Carolina is about done, and they've got 12 cars in the shop. They've talked to about 25 people via Victory Lane Consulting for possible employment.

Sponsorship appears to be heading in the right direction, but as of right now, they'll be bringing back the #96 car, which Dennis Setzer has a commitment to drive. They'll also run the #92 car (Unsure whether it's on a limited basis or alongside of the #96), and the driver choice is between Willie Allen and Johnny Chapman. Keselowski, however, would like to work out a deal where the cars run to compete rather than do the breadwinning.

It also seems more than certain that Keselowski will keep his Owner's Points.

so what you`re syaing is that the 26 (Keselowski) will run the full races and the 96 (Setzer) & 92 (Allen or Chapman) are S&PS

Yes. The #92 and #96 teams basically serve as Keselowski's sponsor.

I think that he would love to do that but you have to 1) get the 26 running better first 2) have the money and resources for the 2nd car not to park.

I wouldn't say that. Keselowski ran pretty well and managed a top 20 here and there (And a 14th at Talladega)

A top 20 here and there isn't that hard when you have 30-43 that either park or have an accident or actually have a problem. At times in the season we had 20-25 cars that were still running at the end of the race.
