Yes they do however it is a Haas superspeedway car with a Hendrick motor entering the Daytona 500, not the California 500.

Is This True?

Personally, I'm calling BS on this report because this never was formally announced.

Unless it's just a start and park effort to make money. Kenny said we would quit if he had to start and park. Personally, I'd love to see JRR go cup racing with Kenny.

Really? At his rate there will be 70 cars showing up for the Daytona 500.

I forgot to enter my car into the 500, the #61 Big Daddy's BBQ/360 OTC Ford Thunderbird. All of us at Big Daddy's BBQ Motorsports are pleased to announce former ARCA driver Dicky Williamson will drive the car at Daytona, pending NASCAR approval. The team is co-owned by former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling and former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. The team's next race will depend on future sponsorship opportunities.

lol that would give a whole new meaning to "buying a ride" Grin

A few more entries have been added to the Daytona 500 entry list...

UPDATE: A new four car Sprint Cup operation has been formed with the intention of running the full Cup season. Eddie Bierschwale has formed Never Was Motorsports and will field Dodge Chargers, making them the second ranked team in the Dodge camp behind Richard Petty Motorsports. The announced drivers are as follows:

#80 - Brad Teague - With a career high finish of 11th in Martinsville in 1982, Teague looks to be a force this year on the Cup circuit. His most noteworthy Cup season occured in 1994 when he had more DNQs ( 11 ) than starts ( 8 ).

#79 - Bob Schacht - With two career top twenty finishes in 23 starts, there are high expectations for the elder Schacht. Perhaps best known for his car dying on the middle of the front stretch during the historic 1992 Hooter's 500.

#78 - Jimmy Horton - Much can be said about Horton's historic career. Just look at the statistics he posses: 48 career cup starts, no lead lap finishes, a top five start position and was the only Cup driver to successfuly exit the racing surface during a race in the 1990s. Jimmy 'the Flying Dutchman' Horton looks to be threat every week

#76 - Billy Strandridge - The team leader of Never Was Motorsports is the always popular Billy Strandridge. Holding the distinction of having almost twice as many career DNQs (42) as starts (23), he brings vital experience to this new Sprint Cup endeavor.

Sponsors have not been announced at this time.

The #49 will start and run the 1st 10 races of NNS.  After that, things are week to week.  Run is in bold.

I hope in those first ten races that him and the team can get some kind of sponsorship dollars rolling in.

Congrats to Kertus for retaining the #49 start and park entry for another season.
Uh...

Yep, why wouldn't we expect more of the same. Kertus has 15 career starts in the #49.

He's completed 193 of 3016 possible laps. I can understand parking one car to race another and how it's "better than sitting on the couch"... but how can people be so excited and honestly say this a "great opportunity for Kertus".

Bailey Motorsports announces a new Sprint Cup team. I'm gonna put myself in the #98 Bailey Motorsports Toyota at Daytona with the intention of running one lap, and parking it. I'll make a couple of thousand dollars, put it into my college education and do the same at every other race. If I make $3.46 million (which is what you'd make if you qualify for every race and finish 43rd), I'll be able to pay for the car (which could run you $200,000; equipment around $500,000, engine around $100,00, trailer $50,000; equals around $850,000) so you make about 2.42 million, and that'll more than pay for college!!!

Sidenote: This is a joke. This is in no way an official count of what it'd really take to run a team, etc. I wouldn't consider this because I have no money to begin with. LOL

WOW! If Bowyer doesn't Qualify In the Race Next Sunday During Qualifying he may DNQ. I got a feeling theres gonna be some BIG ONES in the 150's a lot of wrecks in the 150's.

I still have yet to see anyone explain how putting Mears in an RCR car with Bowyer's hard earned points and making Bowyer work for it is a good thing.  RCR has three solid winners and a so-so driver and the winner gets screwed?  Me thinks RC has been drinking too much of his wine.
