Any News on Kertus Davis in 2009.

Im a huge Kertus Davis fan, and was a guest of the team back in June at NHMS.

I have alot of pictures from that race weekend, if any1 wants a link 2 pictures tell me.

Welcome to the fourm.great to see another Kertus davis fan. I thinking Kertus plans are still to drive the 2nd JRR car But i dont know but i hope to see him in a ride soon

               Welcome to TheHotLap.com Board. We've very glad to have you here. Kertus Davis is a great guy, And I'd love to see Him and Herman Teammates in 2009, Hopefully Kertus and JRR can get a sponsor for Kertus to run every race as well, If Kertus can run the whole race with JRR I see very good things happening.

When i was a guest of JRR back at NHMS, Jay said they entered the #49 in race as it could make money, instead of just bringing the #4 and its backup, he said to use the 4's backup as the #49, as it was better to bring just the 4 on a Truck with pull hauler. Jay said they would put Kertus in the #4 if they got a sponsor. Kertus told me they need tires to run the entire race. So hopefully in 2009 Kertus can have a sponsor. The entire team wa so nice to me at NHMS, Kertus,Jay,Derrike,Gene,Kenneth Campbell(RIP), Shirley, & the Hauler Driver of the #4/#49. I pushed the #49 onto the track with Kenneth, Kertus told me how lucky he was to have Kenneth as his Crew Cheif.

Kertus drives the car so well. i think hes has Bill Elliott & Ned Jarrett cobined in him. Bill knows how to work on car and he knows how to fix the car to make it handle better on track, & Jarrett was a true gentleman.  think Kertus has those 2 traits in him.

It's going to be a hard sell to tell a sponsor that your driver has a poor average finish; and the only reason is a lack of money. We saw that he got a chance with KHI and really didn't prove to be much above the mid 20's in finishing. I know JRR isn't a great team; I know they have little sponsors and all, but they don't need to run the #4, and the #49. They can just concentrate on the #28 and have it running better than what it has been.

Kertus is alive and well and working at JRR.

We'll probably see #28, #4, and #49 attempt all races with the #28 competing in all, and the #4 parking every now and then.

I really believe Kenny Wallace, And JRR are gonna have a good solid season in the Nationwide Series. When Chris Rice came on board they started running a whole lot better for sure, Look at MEMPHIS for sure. even Homestead he was running pretty solid until he got in that wreck. I think Kenny is gonna defently have a Top 15 Season in the Nationwide Series. That would be huge for Jay Robinson Racing.

Hey - I for one appreciate all of the positive energy concerning Kertus - he is a great guy and he deserves the best - maybe one day he will get that sponsor and go for it and make it to the big time!

So what are you saying? Not all 3 cars will be running?

Will at least the 28 and 4 run or is it just the 28 now?

I am not saying anything......., I am just curious about where the info comes from.  My fault for not seeing "Probably" in his post......I apologize. 

As for my "speculation's" for 09 I will look for a suitable post to speculate.  That is what it will be will be speculation.......If anybody knows Eric Wise's number at Baker Curb please PM me with that I left it in a rental car last week.
