• Social media milestone…One week after Nelson Piquet Jr. helped NASCAR announce their unique partnership with social media giant Twitter, Piquet Jr. reached a coveted total of 300,000 followers on Twitter. More details about the partnership and the role Piquet Jr. will play will be announced prior to the weekend of the Pocono 400. The No. 30 NASCAR Camping World Series (NCWTS) truck this weekend will include a special reminder of Piquet Jr.’s Twitter handle, @NelsonPiquet.

• This week’s Silverado… The Qualcomm/Autotrac team will unload chassis TMS-208 for the 200-mile event at Dover International Speedway. Chassis TMS-208 has led the most laps of the season for the No. 30 team, as its last appearance was at Rockingham Speedway. After leading 107 laps, a late race penalty cost the No. 30 team the win.

• Testing 1, 2, 3… Piquet Jr. added some right turns to his repertoire this week, as he headed to Virginia International Raceway to run a few laps for the No. 30 Turner Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide (NNS) Series team. Due to his past in Formula 1, road courses come natural to the 26-year-old Brazilian. His first NNS start was at Watkins Glen where he posted an impressive seventh-place finish.

• One piece of the puzzle…The No. 30 Qualcomm/Autotrac team will be taking part in an initiative by NASCAR and Dover International Speedway to run a special puzzle piece decal to raise awareness for Autism Speaks. The organization, which was founded in 2005, works to provide funding, advocacy and research to the treatment and prevention of Autism. All of Turner Motorsports’ NNS and NCWTS teams will be running the special decal this weekend.

• Come meet Piquet Jr…The NCWTS will be hosting an autograph session this Friday June 1^st at 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm in the Dover FanZone outside of turn 4.

• Watch LIVE… Coverage of the Lucas Oil 200 will be live from Dover International Speedway on June 1st, 2012 at 5:00 pm EST on SPEED, with pre-race coverage starting at 4:30 pm EST. For even more coverage you can also tune in to MRN Radio or SiriusXM Satellite NASCAR channel 90.

• This Week’s Silverado… The No. 31 Koike Aronson Chevrolet Silverado team will bring chassis TMS-204 to the “Monster Mile” for Friday’s 200-lap race. TMS-204 last saw racing action at Rockingham Speedway, where Buescher crossed the finish line in the runner-up position.

• Welcome Aboard… Turner Motorsports welcomes back Koike Aronson Ransome to the No. 31 truck for Friday’s race at Dover International Speedway. “Dover [International Speedway] is one of my favorite stops on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. The Koike Chevrolet team always seems to have speed there, which makes my job a bit easier. It is a very fast racetrack and things happen in a spit second. The trucks carry a ton of speed into the corners. In order to be fast, the truck has to really rotate through the corners and carry that momentum onto the straightaways. I am confident in the package we are bringing and look for great things on Friday afternoon.”

• Informações Chassis (This Week’s Silverado)…Miguel Paludo and the No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Silverado team will utilize chassis TMS-205 this weekend at Dover International Speedway. This is the same truck Paludo drove to 15th-place finish at Rockingham Speedway in April.

• Um Verdadeiro Monstro (A Real Monster)…Paludo heads to Dover with one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Monster Mile. The track proved to be a true monster when Paludo was swept into another compeitor’s wreck early in the race, blowing a right-front tire and making contact with the outside wall after hitting unavoidable debris in the aftermath of the incident. Paludo ultimately finished 28th.

• EuJá Estive Aqui Antes (Been There Before)…In addition to one NCWTS start at Dover in 2011, Paludo also has one NASCAR K&N Series East start at the one-mile oval. The Brazilian-native visited the concrete track in September of 2010 in preparation for his first full-time NCWTS season, finishing 14th.

• Dizer Olá (Say Hello)…Paludo will be appearing at the NCWTS autograph session this Friday, June 1st at 12:30 pm – 1:30 p.m. in the Dover FanZone outside of turn four.

• Peça do Puzzle (Piece of the Puzzle)…This week at the Monster Mile, the NASCAR garage unites to support Autism Speaks, the world’s largest autism advocacy organization. Paludo, along with his Turner Motorsports teammates, will run the Autism Speaks puzzle piece decal on his No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Chevrolet. Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 88 American children as on the autism spectrum.

• Fato Diabetes da Semana (Diabetes Fact of the Week)…Type 1 diabetes, which both Miguel and his son Oliver have been diagnosed with, is sometimes called insulin-dependent, immune-mediated or juvenile-onset diabetes. It is caused by destruction of the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas, typically due to an auto-immune reaction, where they are attacked by the body’s defense system. The beta cells of the pancreas therefore produce little or no insulin, the hormone that allows glucose to enter body cells. The reason why this occurs is not fully understood.

• Corrida Anterior (Previous Race Recap)…Paludo brought home a hard-fought top-15 finish in a caution-filled race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, gaining one position in the driver point standings. Paludo surged as high as third and avoided multiple on-track incidents, but a tight handling race truck ultimately resulted in a 14th-place finish for the No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Chevrolet.

“I like Dover [International Speedway], it is a place that is really challenging. One corner feels like you’re doing two corners because they’re so big, but and at the same time, the straightaway is so straight, so narrow. You really have to keep the speed on it, it’s tricky. I’m excited to go back, Dover is a track that everyone wants to master and I’m up for the challenge.”
