MIKE BLISS AND KEY MOTORSPORTS POISED TO CONTINUE MOMENTUM IN ATLANTA

Mike Bliss and the Key Motorsports team head to Atlanta this weekend ready for 300 miles of NASCAR Nationwide Series competition on the fast 1.5-mile superspeedway, determined to continue the consistency that has propelled the independent organization among the top-20 in owner points.  Posting nine consecutive top-20 finishes over the past two months, Bliss and company are expecting good things to happen in the Atlanta 300.

Key Motorsports crew chief Gary Showalter is excited to be going to Atlanta, “We have been looking forward to the Labor Day race at Atlanta for several weeks now. We have prepared a good car for Mike, it’s the same car we ran 12th in at Charlotte in May. He likes the track and has had some good runs there, the whole crew is excited and it should be a good weekend.”

With ten races remaining on the 2010 Nationwide schedule, Key Motorsports is postured for a top-15 performance in the owners championship point standings, a major accomplishment for a single-car team without adequate funding.  Unless a last minute arrangement is completed, the Key Motorsports Chevrolet will run sponsorless in Saturday night’s event.

“The Key Motorsports team brings a good car to the race track every week,” said driver Mike Bliss. “Curtis Key put this team together from the ground up and has made tremendous headway without the support of a primary partner that many competitors in the Nationwide Series have the benefit of. The people on this team are a hardworking group who are focused on their goals and have the ability to properly represent anyone out there.”

QUOTES & FACTS:

BARGAIN OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE – Key Motorsports team owner Curtis Key is looking for a sharp-minded CEO who is prepared to meet a great opportunity. Performing consistently before millions of loyal fans each week, car No. 40 provides high speed results at bargain house prices.

AN EYE ON POINTS – Key Motorsports has made steady gains in the 2010 Nationwide Series owner points all season and the team will be looking to accomplish more of the same at Atlanta.  Bliss, Showalter and the crew are aggressively chopping away at the 154-pont deficit that will land Key Motorsports solidly in the top-15.

2009 ATLANTA – Key Motorsports goes to Atlanta with a goal of bettering their 2009 performance at the high-banked Georgia facility, when the No. 40 Chevrolet came from the 29th starting position to finish 18th.
