Update: Sirius Speedway is reporting that the team is temporarily shutdown for two races as the team “regroups.”
“Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a team source told Sirius NASCAR Radio’s Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody that Starr will not compete in the next two events at Chicagoland and Kentucky Speedways, with a possible return at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 18.”
The Nascar Insiders are reporting that Randy Moss Motorsports has shut down the No. 81 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team driven by David Starr.
TNI is reporting the move is because of lack of funding, as the team was only sponsored for a partial season.
Crew chief Doug Wolcott and several others may have been laid off with the closure.
