Steve Wallace enters Michigan riding a streak of four consecutive top-ten finishes, the longest active streak of top-tens in the Nationwide Series; his 11 top-ten finishes in 2010 mark a new single-season career high, despite having 13 races remaining in the 2010 season. · Over the last four events, Wallace has scored the second-most points in the Nationwide Series (577). Only points leader Brad Keselowski has scored more (598). During that span, Wallace has sported an impressive average finish of 7.5 and has spent over 90% of the laps among the top-15. · Wallace’s streaks of ten-consecutive top-15 finishes and ten-consecutive lead lap finishes are longest active streaks in each respective category. Currently ranked seventh overall in the 2010 driver standings, Wallace has been ranked among the top-ten for the last ten weeks and has been running at the finish of the last 14 events (second-longest active streak). · Wallace’s best Nationwide Series finish at Michigan was a top-15 in last year’s running of this event. However, he won the 2005 ARCA event at MIS, driving for famed car owner Roger Penske. The victory made Wallace the youngest professional event winner in MIS history. · Wallace’s primary car for this weekend’s event is RWR-050. Slated as the primary car for the July Daytona event, the 50 car was severely damaged during practice when lead ballast from a “start-and-park” entry came loose and impacted Wallace’s No. 66. His backup for this weekend is RWR-052, which scored a top-15 finish in the Daytona event from a backup role. · The No. 66 team features two Michigan natives this weekend: spotter Tim Fedewa (Holt) and rear tire changer Jonathan Billy (Troy). · Rusty Wallace Racing and 5-Hour Energy are proud to welcome Meijer to their family of partners for this weekend’s event at MIS. In his six Truck Series starts at MIS, Gaughan has three top-five finishes, with an average finish of 9.0. · Despite suffering several weeks of bad luck, Gaughan enters Michigan ranked ninth in the driver standings and has scored four top-ten finishes in his last nine Nationwide Series starts. · The primary car for Gaughan this weekend is RWR-051, which competed at Daytona with Gaughan aboard. His backup car this weekend is RWR-053, which has yet to see action in the Nationwide Series.
