ACTIVITIES:

Drivers will meet media before helping fans stock up on tailgate supplies for the June 12 “Meijer 300 presented by Ritz.” 

Fan shoppers are winners of the ”Tailgate Speedstakes” promotion conducted through the Kentucky Speedway Web site (http://www.kentuckyspeedway.com). Each winner will receive $100 in Meijer gift cards, tickets, passes to meet country music group Sawyer Brown before its race day concert, FanZone infield passes as well as VIP Parking for the “Meijer 300 presented by Ritz.”

DRIVER INFORMATION:

Kenny Wallace: Wallace wheels the No. 28 Jay Robinson Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Wallace will make

his eighth Nationwide Series start at Kentucky Speedway on June 12. He earned his series track-best ninth-place finish in 2002 and has banked $159,147 in his Kentucky Speedway starts. He started the week ranked 17th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series standings. He earned his season-best 11th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25. Wallace also is an analyst for the NASCAR RaceDay Sprint Cup Series prerace show aired on SPEED Channel.

Scott Riggs: Riggs will race the No. 21 Zaxby’s Chevrolet fielded by Richard Childress Racing in the ”Meijer 300 presented by Ritz.” He will make his third Nationwide Series start at Kentucky Speedway. He made his last Nationwide Series start at the track in 2003. He placed fourth in the 2002 Kentucky Speedway Nationwide Series 300-mile event after starting from the pole position. Riggs scored a 2001 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at Kentucky Speedway after starting third. Riggs has competed in four NASCAR Nationwide Series events this season in the No. 09 RAB Racing Ford. He earned his season-best 14th-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Feb. 27. He placed 28th in this season’s Sprint Cup Series Phoenix International Raceway event in the No. 90 Keyed-Up Motorsports Chevrolet.
