Donnie Neuenberger entered into the 2010 NASCAR season with the hopes to put his name and sponsor, EZ-Slider Cylinder Liners back into the mainstream of contenders in the Camping World Truck Series. Neuenberger entered the series with a familiar team in the Nationwide Series but a rather newcomer in the Camping World Truck Series, Rick Ware Racing (RWR) from Thomasville, North Carolina.
Grabbing the wheel of the #6 Chevy, the Maryland native made his debut with RWR at Daytona and finished 9th, tying his career high in the series. This past weekend, Neuenberger had full support once again from EZ-Slider Cylinder Liners and company CEO Joe Korff for the running of the EZ-Go 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
“We really looked forward to the race here in Atlanta, but we realized how new we are to this series. The veterans tons of laps here and have great pieces specified for this track and it is hard to match that type of technology and experience so quickly,” stated Neuenberger.
Neuenberger and the RWR team struggled with getting comfortable with the setup and the speed needed at such a fast track and qualified 33rd on the grid.
“Our goal is to log laps, take notes, stay out of trouble and come home in the Top 10 in points and we accomplished that,” stated Rick Ware.
Donnie is tied for 10th with his team mate and Rookie of the Year contender Brett Butler in the #47 Fuel Doctor Chevy.
“It will be difficult to step out of the 6 for some races but the team is sitting in a great points position and I look forward to working with the team at my home track, Dover International Speedway, in May”, stated Donnie.
Neuenberger is slated for several select races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck and Nationwide Series with Rick Ware Racing for 2010 and is excited about the direction the organization is heading in.
“The team struggled at times in 2009, but they have turned the corner in the off season and look solid now. They have made every event they have entered in both the Nationwide and Camping World Trucks and have hit career highs for all the drivers in their stable in the past 6 months.”
Donnie and EZ-Slider Cylinder Liners now prepare for their next race with RWR at Dover look forward to their climb back into the driver’s standings in May.
“I want to thank Rick Ware, Joe Korff, EZ-Slider Cylinders and the entire RWR team for a great couple races and I can’t wait to get a hold of the wheel of the 6 once again.”

I hope that Rick Ware has got enough brains to NOT pull his 10th Place NASCAR Standings driver at Martinsville and instead put in some rookie. Rick knows better than do pull a Top 10 driver, at least I hope he does.

I also have to applaud Donnie Neueberger, Quaker Cities Castings, and RickWareRacing for putting all of this together and being a GOGH team!!!
Just because EZ-Sliders isnt signed up for the #6 at Martinsville, doesnt mean that someone else should get the ride. RICK – I hope youre reading this, DO NOT PULL NEUENBERGER whatever you do – Dale Earnhardt Sr was the one that showed Donnie and Kerry Earnhardt around the 1/2 mile paper clipped shape roval back in 1996 in the pace car for about 20 hotlaps with Dale Earnhardt at the wheel.
DONNIE KNOWS HOW TO GET AROUND MARTINSVILLE AND HE IS A VETERAN.

Hey Bobby – I didnt know you read this board as well. When are you going to go back and crew chief at MWR #00 again??
Anywho, Donnie got a 9th place finish in Daytona and needs to start running Cup this year, perhaps starting at Phoenix nor Pocono.

That is so cool that Bobby Kennedy posts on here too! Who would have thought that a veteran Nextel Cup crew chief reads these boards and then he COMMENTS!!!!!!
Bobby Kennedy is a fan of Donnie (evidently), and so am I. I joined the DGN Racing Fan Club today for a mere $25.00. Anyone think that Donnie will contend in the win at the Dover truck race???
Cool, Cassie-
